Lawyer Sebastian Keilholz, LL.M., is a salary partner at TIGGES. He advises in all areas of intellectual property law. His practice focuses on advising on competition and distribution law, in particular in connection with franchise systems. In addition to structural out-of-court advise, his activities also include representation in legal action and preliminary injunction proceedings.

    Sebastian Keilholz is a lecturer for distribution and competition law at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Chair for Private Economic Law and Employment Law.

    Sebastian Keilholz is also interested in data protection law. Since the beginning of 2019, Sebastian Keilholz is authorized officer (Prokurist) of the consultancy TIGGES DCO GmbH, which offers integrated advice in the areas of data protection, compliance and organisation.

     

  • CV

    Sebastian Keilholz studied law at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. Parallel to his studies he worked as a journalist for the daily newspaper "Rheinische Post". During his legal clerkship at the Düsseldorf Regional Court, his interest in press and copyright law led him to the legal department of a large publishing house. He deepened the knowledge he acquired here in the course of a postgraduate course of studies with a focus on copyright and competition law, at the end of which he earned the title "Master of Laws" (LL.M.) in 2013. He wrote his master‘s thesis on "Protection of Press Products on the Internet". A further station of his legal clerkship led him for several months to a commercial law firm in Cape Town (South Africa).
