Area of Specialisation

Yvonne Quad is a partner at TIGGES Rechtsanwälte. She is also managing director of TIGGES DCO GmbH, which offers integrated consultancy in the areas of data protection, compliance and organisation. The main focus of her work lies in the area of dialogue marketing, distribution law and all aspects of the current EU-DSGVO topic - from legal advice to data protection advice and the position of the data protection officer.

Ms Quad advises her clients in the area of intellectual property/IP and related fields of law, in particular competition law. She drafts and designs contracts for her clients, particularly in the area of conflict between the German Unfair Competition Act (UWG) and data protection law. Yvonne Quad has many years of relevant experience in drafting customer contracts, general terms and conditions and online shops in the e-commerce environment. She is particularly specialised in the energy and telecommunications sectors. In addition, Yvonne Quad advises in IT/media law. She is forensically active in all of the above-mentioned areas of law.

    Yvonne Quad is a lecturer for distribution and competition law at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Chair for Private Economic Law and Employment Law.

    Ms Quad is member of the following associations: Association for Intellectual Property and Copyright Law (GRUR), Society for Data Protection and Data Security (GDD), German Bar Association (DAV), German Association of Women Lawyers (DJB).

    As a law firm, we are a member of the DDV Deutscher Direktmarketing Verband e. V. (German Direct Marketing Association); Yvonne Quad is active in the Customer Services Competence Center.

    Law Studies at the law faculty of the Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf. Ms Quad worked as a research assistant at the Centre for Information Law (ZfI) at the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf in the field of telecommunications law. In 2012, she successfully completed her specialist legal training in the field of intellectual property law.

    Ms Quad has been working as a lawyer in the field of intellectual property and distribution law for more than 10 years. In 2014 she joined the law firm TIGGES.

    In 2017, Yvonne Quad completed the certificate course in Data Protection Law & Compliance at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster.

    Since March 2019, Yvonne Quad has been certified by the GDD (Gesellschaft für Datenschutz und Datensicherheit e.V.) as a data protection officer (GDDcert. EU).

    Since January 2020, Yvonne Quad has been a Certified IT Security Officer (CISO) according to ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz.
